Krav Maga Style An explanation

Krav Maga 'Style'

Importantly, Krav Maga is NOT a Martial Art in the traditional sense. Where martial arts generally deal with 1-on-1 situations, Krav Maga will teach you how to deal with multiple attackers, the different stages of a fight, or 'Timeline', and how to avoid a fight altogether. Unlike traditional martial arts, Krav Maga is ever evolving & like real world violence, has no rules or limitations.

Krav Maga is a reality based self-defence system that consists of a combination of techniques sourced from Boxing, Wrestling, Aikido, Judo, & Karate, along with realistic fight training.
It is known for its focus on real-world situations and extremely efficient and effective counter-attacks. It has a strong emphasis on threat neutralisation, simultaneous defensive and offensive manoeuvres, and aggression.

It is an easy to learn system,
based on the bodies natural reactions, using economy of movement & principles to ensure maximum effect for minimal effort.

Krav Maga principles:

  • Avoiding dangerous people and places
  • Using everyday objects to protect yourself
  • Using the body's natural reflexes
  • Knowing when to run to safety
  • Striking at vulnerable parts of the body
  • Neutralising the threat
  • Avoiding injury
  • Having fun, being fitter, and enjoy training
